Overview
Paget disease is a disorder of abnormal bone remodeling, resulting in enlarged, weakened bones.

Symptoms
Bone pain, deformity, and increased fracture risk. It commonly affects the pelvis, spine, skull, and long bones.

Diagnosis
Blood tests (elevated alkaline phosphatase) and imaging.

Treatment
Bisphosphonates to control bone turnover; pain management and orthopedic surgery for complications.

Persistent bone pain or deformity should be evaluated.
